Southern Broccoli Casserole: The Playbook
Every church cookbook in the South will have multiple variations of a broccoli casserole. It is a Thanksgiving & Christmas staple!
The treasured & tattered paper above was jotted down during a phone call with my grandmother who lived in Jacksonville, AL. The paper is over 20 years old, and brings back fond memories of gracious Southern lady! I have an old fashioned recipe tin (affiliate) where I keep cherished recipe cards.
Southern Broccoli Casserole: The Players on the Field
- Frozen broccoli
- Cream of mushroom soup
- mozzarella cheese
- diced onions
- eggs
- mayonnaise
The beauty of this recipe is how quickly it comes together in one bowl!
Once you bake the Southern Broccoli Casserole, store it in the fridge for up to three days. OH, and because this is such a big hit at potlucks and Wednesday Night Fellowship Suppers, I have to remind you to make sure the casserole does not sit out at room temperature for more than two hours.
Your house will smell AH-MAZING while this cooks! The casserole pairs well with turkey for Christmas & Thanksgiving, as well as ham for your Easter meal.
