Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole
Ingredients
- 8 count package refrigerated biscuits use large biscuits, like Grands
- 1 pound bulk sausage
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt & pepper as desired
- 1 2 3/4 package peppered gravy mix makes 2 cups
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Apply non-stick spray to a 13×9 baking dish. Set aside.
- Make gravy according to package instructions. Set aside.
- Cook the sausage over medium heat until completely browned. Drain off fat (I like to put the sausage on a paper towel covered plate.) and set aside.
- Using kitchen sheers, cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Cover the bottom of the prepared baking dish with the biscuit pieces, making sure you have an even layer of biscuit dough.
- Spread cooked sausage on top of the biscuits, then cover sausage with cheese.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. (Add salt & pepper now, if desired.) Pour mixture on top of casserole. Pour the gravy on top of casserole, covering the dish end to end.
- Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
