Keep your tailgate fans happy with a Game Day Chicken Wing Bar and Sideline Sauce Station!
Our football watch parties are so much, and to make sure we don’t miss a big play, we try to keep our time in the kitchen at a minimum. That can be tricky, because our crowd lovesĀ hearty tailgate foods!
To keep the fans cheering, we usually do a simple wing station with several homemade sauces. Time and time again, we reach for a bag of Tyson chicken wings or strips for two reasons: quality and convenience! When I open a bag of their wings, that I will be serving my family and guests top quality wings from chickens raised with no hormones or steroids. And, they are precooked and heat up in a flash. Touchdown!
For our Game Day Wing Bar with Sideline Sauce Station, our players on the field areĀ TysonĀ® Bone-In Wings (5 lbs) NEW Tequila Lime flavor,Ā TysonĀ® Boneless Wyngz (3 lbs) Buffalo flavor, and of courseĀ TysonĀ® Crispy Chicken Strips (3.5 lbs).Ā
Let’s get to know the players, starting with the Tequila Lime wings. My dad introduced these to me when my parents were visiting from Alabama. The wings don’t actually contain tequila (or any other alcohol for that matter) but the tangy citrus sauce is amazing! Even your littlest fans will love these.
If you are looking for a traditional chicken strip, get the gang in a huddle and plan to pair Tyson’s Crispy Strips with our Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce.Ā No tailgate or home watch party is complete without a buffalo chicken recipe! To keep my team happy (and me out of the kitchen!) I heat and serve Tyson Buffalo Wyngz. The boneless, bite size Wyngz are packed with flavor. You can use our Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce for a classic pairing.
Now, for the Sideline Sauce Station….
Keep the referees happy with homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dip, Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce, and Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce.
The sauces are SO EASY to whip up, and can be made the day before the big game. Just store them covered in the refrigerator and use within 3-4 days. The flavors are robust, something you can only achieve with a homemade sauce. The Buttermilk Ranch Dip doubles as a fabulous salad dressing, by the way!
My husband, Copa, feels strongly about the variety of wings and sauces offered at our big game tailgates. “You have to have more than one choice. There are two teams on the field, right? So, I like to have a minimum of two wing choices & sauces at our watch parties.” he explains.
Copa’s favorite? The Crispy Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard:
We not only serve Tyson chicken wings for game days, they have also become a quick weeknight supper at our house. A sheet pan full of Tequila Lime Wings serves as our entree, and we add baked potatoes and a salad to make supper a snap. It is so much better than going through the drive thru!
Or, we will take heaping bowls of fresh torn lettuce and top them with either the crispy chicken strips or the Buffalo Wyngz for a salad supper.
Since we use Tyson products regularly, I prefer to stock up at Sam’s Club. The large size bag allows me to pull out exactly what I need for each occasion!Want to serve them, too?
