Today is the NCAA Men’s Basketball championship! Are you looking for some EASY viewing party appetizers? Heat up some chicken fingers & serve this dipping sauce! I also recommend whipping up Knorr®’s Spinach Dip Recipe, Loose Meat Tavern Sandwiches, or a sweet batch of Popcorn Drizzled with Chocolate and Peanut Butter.
Let’s get started on the court……have you ever been to a Raising Cane’s restaurant? That sauce! It is so good that some people have even resorted to licking those little rectangular containers to get every last drop. This Copycat Cane’s Dipping Sauce Recipe is the real deal!
My daughter went to the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. As it turns out, Lexington is the headquarters for Raising Cane’s! Every time I visited her, we always tried to make a Raising Cane’s run.
We live in Central Florida, and right now there are two Raising Cane’s within about a 50 mile radius. SO, getting a Cane’s fix is definitely a destination meal. In the interim, we make our own chicken tenders and my daughter & I created our own version of the famous sauce…..voila! Copycat Cane’s Dipping Sauce Recipe!
One of the key ingredients is Tony Cachere’s Creole Seasoning. We also use the seasoning in our chicken tenders and on salads. 🙂 This Copycat Cane’s Dipping Sauce Recipe is very versatile and I’ve been know to use it as a dipping sauce for French fries!
On the Sidelines: If you have a question, OR you want to tell me what your favorite Raising Cane’s item is, put it in the comments! I always respond!
The Playbook: Tips for Making
Copycat Cane’s Dipping Sauce Recipe
- Use a good quality of mayonnaise – note: olive oil based mayo does not yield good results!
- Honey is the secret ingredient! If you don’t have it, make a different recipe!
- Make this recipe at least 2 hours before serving….it needs to chill in the fridge so all those incredible flavors meld together. (We own this bowl set with lids – I use the small one for this sauce! They are dishwasher/microwave/freezer safe!)
- Speaking of the fridge, since the dip is mayo based, keep this sauce at room temperature no longer than 30 minutes when serving.
